Why I Love Royal Caribbean!

Royal Caribbean has one of the largest cruise fleets at sea with a total of 24 ships. We will see the fifth Oasis-class ship, Wonder of the Seas, enter service from March 2022 where she will be offering guests a number of Caribbean cruises to enjoy. She will outdo the Symphony of the Seas and take the title of the world largest cruise ship with Symphony being 228,081 tonnage & Wonder of the Seas being 236,857 tonnage.

In November 2021 we also saw the Odyssey of the seas enter service offering Caribbean cruises before she heads over to Europe in early May 2022 where she will depart from Rome offering 6 to 12 night Europe itineraries. The Odyssey of the Seas will be the first Quantum Ultra class ship to sail in the US.

Everyone seems to have their own favourite cruise line depending on what’s being offered on board & also from the style of the cruise line. Personally, Royal Caribbean is my favourite cruise line I have cruised with & I’ve cruised with 10 different cruise lines over the last 14 years. Each cruise I’ve travelled with has had its own benefits but for me, Royal Caribbean seems to tick every box from activities & entertainment being offered onboard for everyone.

I cruised onboard Independence of the seas back in 2017 for a short 3-night taster cruise & I fell in love with her. She was always a firm favourite for British passengers travelling out from Southampton & sadly we lost her when she travelled over to the US to offer itineraries to the Caribbean & Bahamas. However, the good news was she was replaced with the Quantum class ship Anthem of the seas which entered service in 2015. So it was nice to have a new ship departing from Southampton.

We have all been waiting so desperately to cruise again and with Covid safety protocols in place to protect the crew & passengers, I felt it was the time to book another cruise with Royal Caribbean. So I have now booked a cruise onboard Odyssey of the Seas for August 2022 for 9 nights travelling to Greece & Turkey.

As always the innovative ship will feature some of the best activities on board with the North Star and Ripcord skydiving but will also feature the first fully immersive 4D virtual reality experience Zone Zero. We will also see the latest glow in the dark laser tag faceoff, Crystal City.

She will have 15 amazing restaurants which 7 are included within the cruise fare and 8 speciality restaurants which will come with a small supplement but plenty of choice for all.

So as you can imagine I’m counting down the days until I can get on board this new ship, relax & enjoy a cocktail & experience everything she has to offer. If you’d like to get on board Royal Caribbean, please do give me a call on 0800 408 6116 and I can help you find the perfect cruise.
