Thomson Platinum Cruise’s

So we are finally starting to hear more about this expensive venture that Thomson Holidays have gone through with 2 of their ships (Thomson Celebration & Thomson Dream) being made into Platinum cruises. We can all say that most cruise lines are bringing something new to the table with on-board experiences and entertainment. So Thomson Holidays have now finally caught on that they need to invest to revitalise their ships. Such as

• Modern furnishings with designer touches
• Themed a la carte restaurants
• iPod docking stations in Suites
• Flatscreen TVs as standard
• Tea and coffee making facilities in every cabin

However what strikes me is this should have been something that Thomson should have invested in long ago! Having the new Thomson Platinum cruise sounds like amenities and services on-board will be to a much higher standard then your typical Thomson cruise. However in my opinion there are other cruise liners out there that have more enticing amenities and services on-board. What are your thoughts?
