Review or Not to Review?

In the last year or so of me working at www.cruise.co.uk I have  always completed what we call welcome home calls to all my customers to see how they got on and get their general feedback about their time away.

I always try to invite customers to our website to leave a review about their time on-board their cruise, whether it is a great review or even a bad review. As the more reviews grow on different website and including far more cruise reviews than 10 years ago we are now starting to see more and more customers leaving reviews. Some would say that some of the reviews can be petty and some say that the reviews are vital to helping them book their cruise.

In my opinion reading an open and honest review determines whether I choose a specific hotel, restaurant or even cruise line. Having the guidance of other customers leaving their feedback about the cruise is vital to helping other non-cruise goers make the right decision. This may be in the way of “oh well pay a little more and we will go for that cruise”, or The reviews says this cruise is better with on-board entertainment or food which can entail a better understanding to the cruise you are looking to book.

I even tell my regular cruise customers to go online and write a review so they can let others now of the knowledge and experience. I am sure if you read 10-50 bad reviews about a particular cruise ship it would deter your decision in booking that cruise. However I don’t think you could possible manage to find 50 bad reviews about any cruise ship.

Here at www.cruise.co.uk we invite all other customers and non customers to write reviews to help others in need of information. And by doing so we send them a free cruise Berlitz guide which is what I call a cruising bible, as this will will have whats hot, whats not and other important information.

We recently had a review submitted that has had over 4000 views by customers so it just goes to prove how great a review can actually be.
