Acting UK Managing Director Philip Price opening stated the following… Here at hurtigruten we can not of course guarantee that passengers will see the lights during their voyage (only mother nature can do that,) but we can do the next best thing which is to promise that if the lights prove elusive, we will give our passengers another opportunity to see them next year”.
This is amazing as there is no other cruise line that offers the Northern Lights guarantee experience. For the first time Hurtigruten are offering passengers the real guarantee of seeing what customers are paying so much to see. Who else is there in the market that can put their hands up and say that if their customers did not see the exploration of the Northern Lights they will provide you with another adventure free of charge? I know there must be some terms and conditions to this however it is a bold move for Hurtigruten.
