Rome & Sorrento

This weekend hubby and I are off on child free holiday to Italy. This time last year we got married in St Lucia and this year its our friends turn to get married in Sorrento.

We are flying into Rome and have 1 night as I have never been to Rome and want to visit the Colosseum. As we don’t have much time I have arranged our tickets so we don’t have to queue once there. I think we will also that the City Sightseeing hop on hop off bus. Any of you that read my blog will know I tend to do one of these wherever I go!!  I think they are great when you are in a tight schedule you get to see as much of the city as you can and can jump off the bus whenever you like.

So after our night in Rome we have booked train tickets down to Sorrento where we are staying for 4 nights. We have the wedding on Wednesday and I hope to squeeze in a visit to Pompeii and Capri. I also need to cram in a lie in…. No toddler waking us up at 6am!!  I would love to have spent longer in Sorrento but being the first time Charlie will not have his mummy or daddy around I was feeling a little nervous although I know he will have a fab time with family and probably wont even ask for us!!

As a treat we have just booked to take Charlie to Disneyland Paris in February and he is coming on Aurora with us in November. Charlie loves to cruise as much as us he stares in awe at the cruise ships!! He is one lucky little boy having already had a holiday on QM2 last year!! We love going on a family cruise as the kids facilities on board are fantastic and you can relax knowing the kids are having lots of fun!

Make sure you pop by next week to hear how Italy was!!
