Cunard in 3D

At the end of April Cunard will be starting their seventh transatlantic season and have announced some exciting new entertainment.

From early May 2011 they will be showing 3D films in association with RealD the world most widely used digital 3d project technology. This is sure to be a fantastic experience and guests will be able to watch in the comfort of the Queen theatre.

The debut to be shown is Carmen in 3D which is a story about love, jealousy and betrayal and forth coming films will include Pirates of the Caribbean, On stranger Tides and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I think this is going to be a big hit with transatlantic guests. I did one a few years and to be fair they did have films showing in the Theatre but it never really appealed but knowing it was in 3D I would definitely have given it a go.

My favourite activity was visiting the world only planetarium at Sea which is an amazing experience and I ended up going every other day!
Other new entertainment includes:

PROFESSIONAL INSIGHTS SONG WRITING PROGRAMME –

Song writing workshops with Chris Difford, formely of 1970’s band squeeze

Quests will be able to collaborate in small groups with pianists, Guitars and bass players and the best of the bunch will even be invited to record their songs in an on board studio and take their CD (I mean No. 1 hit) home with them

ROYAL ACADEMY OF DRAMATIC ART (RADA)

The RADA have been working closely with Cunard Cruises for many years but this year they will be going all out with various “Street theatre” performances being performed around the ship
The new entertainment sounds great to me and next time I do a Transatlantic I’m going to have to drag myself out of the Spa more offend to experience it all. What do you think?
