3 Days In Bali!

Indonesia is a country I’ve wanted to visit for a long time. So last year when I was given the chance to take a Celebrity cruise. I decided upon a 12 Night Indonesia & Malaysia sailing on board Celebrity Millenium. Having three full days in Bali was definitely the deciding factor for me!

It took three days to sail Singapore to the port of Benoa Port in the South of the Island. We had pre booked a local guide online before we came so it was lovely to see the smiling face of our guide Kapri awaiting our arrival.

welcomeOur plan was to see as much of Bali as we could given the time, so pre planning our itinerary with the guide beforehand was definitely a great idea. On our first day we headed north stopping first at a local village in Baturiti. There we had the chance to visit a local coffee plantation and try the world famous Luwak coffee made from the digested berries of wild civet. It’s said to be the most expensive coffee in the world! luwak(Wild Civet)lady

Our drive then took us high in to the Hills which had the most terrifying roads but the most breath taking scenery. Our next stop was Gitgit waterfall where we enjoyed a swim under the cascading waterfall. The big kid in me couldn’t resist a go of the rope swing!

Feeling nice and refreshed after our swim he headed to Lovina Beach for lunch.  Lunch was included in tour  so we weren’t expecting much, so we were pleasantly surprised as we arrived at a lovely beach front Chinese buffet. After an enjoyable meal we took a stroll along the beach before hitting the road again.

I was keen to visit one of Bali’s hot springs so our guide took us to  “Air Panas” Hot Springs of Bajar.  A short drive from Lovina Beach and set in the midst of the jungle this place is truly magical. The perfect place to just relax and take in all the natural beauty that surrounds you.

They had never meet westerners before and we’re super excited for us to pose with them for a photo. They were so sweet we were happy to oblige and It was the prefect way to end our first day in Bali!
