Well, that went rather quickly!!

So we finally get to wave goodbye to a 2016, that I’m sure most of us would agree, was pretty grim from a human point of view. Countless icons passing away, terrorist attacks happening all over, continuing war in Syria. Sprinkle on some Brexit talk and Trump, it really has been a year bursting with topics of conversation.

On a personal level, myself and my family have had a fantastic 12 months, making countless memories and ticking a lot off the bucket list. In Halloween we took the girls to Disneyland Paris for 3 nights, which to say they enjoyed would be a major understatement.  We crammed in a character breakfast, parades galore and managed to get on all the rides we wanted, which, considering it was half term in France as well as the UK was quite the achievement. Later in November we took our eldest to a packed Alexandra Palace to see a 2 man band called 21 pilots, which, although not my cup of tea personally, put on a fantastic show and we managed to get right to the front without any pushing, shoving or camping (which, even though it was freezing cold there were a lot of people doing!)

In the first half of the year, we enjoyed trips to Alton Towers, Thorpe Park and Bewilderwood (A huge outdoor woodland play are near Norwich, well worth a visit) and had a lovely long weekend in a cottage with a hut tub in Shropshire for my good ladies birthday. It is safe to say my children have had a thoroughly enjoyable 2016 and 2017 has rather a lot to live up to. We have booked our first family cruise with Celebrity for May 2017 and a cottage in Wales for a week in October, aside from that… I had better get planning, got a lot to live up to!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!!!
