6 Star Cruise Line to Dock in Great Yarmouth!!

I like to do a little bit of research before posting my blog and it means I am up to date on all things cruise. Easy choice this week would be to blog about Independence of the Seas returning to Southampton after a big refurbishment. There is BIGGER news I feel though! Seabourn, the 6-star luxury cruise line will be docking in GREAT YARMOUTH!

The first of TWO visits by the luxury cruise line will be happening when the Seabourn Quest will be docked in the Norfolk seaside town on the 30th June 2018. She will be docked from 9 am to 6 pm giving the 450 passengers the opportunity to spend the day sampling one of the UK’s most famous beach resorts. Having not been to Great Yarmouth for many years, I am going to reserve judgement, however, I am wondering how some fish and chips wrapped in newspaper will compare to the delights they will be used to having on board?

As I said, Seabourn is not only visiting once, they are also bringing their newest vessel, the Seabourn Ovation, to the town. With the Ovation’s visit, which will take place on the 30th September 20018, she will deliver 650 passengers to Yarmouth!

With cruising growing and growing in popularity, the need for new ports and places to visit will grow and grow, I just did not expect Great Yarmouth to be a place of great interest to the foreign visitor to the UK. Either way, I hope the days are a huge success and bring the people of Great Yarmouth a bit of excitement, as it is great news for UK tourism.

I can’t wait to see where will be receiving a visit from a cruise ship next!
