I’m back & My Time Down Under!

Can you believe I am back already?

Where did that time go, the last 3 months have flown by whilst I was heading up our Australia office.  My time was spent training new staff members on all our systems and the great way which we do things here in the UK offering great customer service & hopefully being the best at what we do.

I really enjoyed working in the office with the staff and the training aspect of the job, also helping the staff with the systems and doing sales as well but I did long hours during the week as needed to do some UK stuff for the systems so had to wait till after 6pm to speak to UK office at 9am (9 hours behind)  so was usually 8pm by the time I left the office most days but I loved it all the same.

I made some great friends over in Brisbane which is where I stayed for 3 months, I had lovely apartment in the same building as the office so not far to walk to work every day – just down in the lift & round the corner.

Portside Wharf is a lovely place to live and work & I’ll really miss it.

The office is right by the port so I could see the cruise ships docked from my balcony and also could watch them sail down the river which never got boring, I loved getting up early to watch them.  I saw Pacific Dawn, Pacific Jewel, Pacific Aria, Sea Princess & Sun Princess during my time there.

I made the most of my days off and tried to see a lot of the area and even made it to Sydney for the weekend which was amazing. The places I visited whilst in Australia were:-

Sunshine Coast
Montville
Mooloolaba
Redcliffe
Brisbane city center & South Bank
Gold Coast – Broad Beach
Byron Bay
Sydney
4 night cruise from Brisbane to Whitsundays – Airlie Beach
Moreton Island – Tangalooma
Mount Cootha

I will blog in detail about the places I saw and the things I did so keep your eye out for those.

I flew out on 17 June and arrived back 20 September then had a couple of weeks off to catch up with family & friends and a short break to France with my husband Adam as he missed me lots whilst away & me him.  I flew with Emirates via Dubai from Birmingham which were great flights even though really long the entertainment channels kept me going.

I’m back at work now to help you with all your lovely cruise bookings so just give me call on 0330 303 8208 or email me at [email protected] and I’ll be happy to assist you.

Until then – happy cruising!
