Mouthwatering Meals…….

As promised I will tell you all about the dining experience on Celebrity Eclipse.

We paid for 3 speciality restaurants as wanted to try them to compare against the main dining room.

We were offered the 3 meal deal which was $109 per person where you can choose which restaurants you wish to eat in, we did each one:-

Tuscan Grille – Italian Steakhouse

We booked this restaurant for our 2nd Wedding Anniversary on 26th July which was night 2 and a formal night which we were please about as we could dress up for this special occasion.

This would normally cost $45 per person.

The meal was fantastic – we had the steak which was cooked to perfection. I’m quite fussy about steak as like it well done so only usually have it when Adam cooks it but this was delicious & I would highly recommend it.

The service was out of this world and they couldn’t do enough for us, 1 waiter serves you the whole evening and always at your beck & call, the sommelier was always around too filling up our glasses.

We were lucky to have a table near the window which Adam had requested, he had also arranged for 12 red roses to be delivered to the table which was so lovely of him and I was overwhelmed.

The view from the window is my favourite, overlooking the ‘wash’ as you are sailing….

We also received a cake saying ‘Happy Anniversary’ – a lovely touch and very tasty but as I haven’t really got a sweet tooth – Adam ate most of it.

All very mouthwatering I can tell you.

We really enjoyed this meal and were in here for almost 3 hours enjoying the food, service & ambience.

Qsine

Now for something completely different…

This quirky restaurant is the most unusual way to serve food I have ever seen but amazing all the same.

This would normally cost $45 per person.

I have eaten in Qsine before when I went on Celebrity Infinity 2 years ago so I knew what to expect but Adam didn’t, he was a bit unsure at first but he did enjoy it as we tried food we don’t normally eat.

There is so much to choose from – steak, popcorn fish & chips, seafood, kebabs & much more….

That’s the beauty of Qsine – you can order as much as you like and if you don’t like particular dish you can order something else.

The food is ordered on an iPad with all the courses listed so you just click on what you want. The staff advise to order approx 6 to start with then add more if required, we ended up cancelling 1 course as we were so full.

We were here for over 3 hours which is about normal as you need time between courses to breathe after eating so much.

I like to try sushi when on board a cruise and in Qsine they serve ‘sushi lollipops’ – delicious!!

Desert is ordered using a cube with all the deserts on difference sides – so much fun!

We were pretty full but still managed a little. I had the cupcakes which you decorate yourself.

I love this restaurant and could eat here a few times as so much choice, I’ll have different dishes next time I go..

Murano

We ate here on the last formal night so again we could dress up.

Murano is the french cuisine restaurant and oh my it was fantastic!!

‘Classic French dishes serve as the inspiration for Murano’s menu; a unique contemporary twist here and there adds an element of surprise. The goal is the perfect marriage of flavors, artfully presented. We especially love to prepare some dishes tableside as you watch.’

This would normally cost $50 per person.

Again I had something I wouldn’t normally eat – Lobster…

It was beautiful and cooked at the side of me, the waiter flambeed the meat and veg whilst I watched – amazing!

This restaurant has the ‘posh’ feel and was the nicest I think, the staff were superb and welcome you like royalty, we had a lovely table and the atmosphere was lovely, no rush at all at and can take your time. They offer a Five Senses Menu: six courses are presented in a tasting menu, perfectly paired with wine, designed to stimulate all your senses, we didn’t have this as was so much on the menu.

Moonlight Sonata -main dining room

Every meal we ate here was beautiful, the staff were brilliant and very attentive. They soon knew our names and welcomed us personally as we sat down, we had a table for 8 and had great company – 4 couples and we all go on very well.

We even had lunch in here a few days as the food was so good and change from the buffet.

I tried ‘Escargot’ – snails for the first time and really enjoyed them, so much so the waiters let me have another one. This is the beauty of cruising as if you want 2 starters or 2 mains you can, Adam did this – he didn’t fancy the starters but liked the look of 2 main courses so he had both – nothing was too much trouble and the variety of meals was incredible.

We had a great night every night dining on the cruise and cannot fault any of the meals or the service.

The staff are a credit to Celebrity Cruises!!

Oceanview Cafe – buffet

This café’s décor and offerings reflect that of an international marketplace. With a menu influenced by multiple cultures, the cuisine takes diners on a voyage around the world. Stations available in the marketplace include: made-to-order pasta, stir-fry, pizza and sushi, a full salad bar, and a variety of appetizer entrées and desserts. Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night.

We had breakfast & lunch here most days – buffet style, help yourself and as much as you can eat. The variety for breakfast was the best I have seen on a cruise, you could have something different everyday & it wasn’t repetitive at all.

It was the same at lunch – so much choice.

Tea/Coffee/Water & Juice all included at any time of the day.

Up on deck 14 there was the Mast Grill which served burgers, hot dogs & chips – great for a quick bite if don’t want to leave the sunshine, we had a few of these and the burgers were beautiful.

So as you can see so much choice to eat on board Celebrity Eclipse – we were spolit for choice.

Also saving $31 by buying the package for the speciality restaurants which are definitely worth it.
