Here’s to 2017!!

I would like to wish all my customers a very Happy New Year!!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas break and enjoyed the New Year Celebrations – I know I did.

As I had a few weeks off over the Christmas period I made the most of it.  Starting with our work Christmas conference on board Fred Olsen Boudicca for 3 nights on 15 December – see next blog for all the info on this trip.

My daughter Kim turned 21 on 23rd December so many celebrations had here, I took her out for dinner on 22nd December to give her presents etc the day before as she was having a party in a nightclub on 23rd so didn’t want to risk her losing anything. We went to out favourite Italian restaurant – Bella Italia in Coventry.  We know the management here and always enjoy the food & hospitality hence why we keep going back.  I had dropped off a balloon earlier in the day and the management provided a nice bottle of Prosecco which was a nice touch. It was a lovely meal and a great start to the birthday celebrations.

On 23rd December Kim was working all day unfortunately so probably the 1st time I have not taken her out for lunch but we made up for it in the evening as her boyfriend Chris had arranged a get together at a nightclub in Leamington so we went along to a have a little drink, Adam was working so my colleague & friend Teresa came along, we had a lovely night and saw Kim’s friends, we also had cake etc which was lovely. We left them to it about 11pm so they could party into the night.  I was off to Bolton the next day so didn’t want a late night anyway…  Kim had a great birthday so that’s the main thing.

On 24th December myself & Adam with Patch in tow traveled up to Bolton to see my family & friends, 1st stop was my brothers to see the family and drop off presents.  This is done through the window on arrival so kids don’t see them, my niece Jessica age 6 & my nephew Ethan age 3 – they are such beautiful kids I love spending time with them.  We stayed a couple of hours and Adam played with the kids whilst I had a little vino with the grown ups – ha ha!!

We then headed to my sister Janet’s as we were staying here for a few nights, chilled out for the night and had take away, Patch loves my nephews so was in his element being fussed by Glenn & Connor.

On Christmas Day we were up early and ready to go pick my mum up from the Care Home, Patch in his Santa suit also…. we called in on some friends Julie & Steve on route as live right near the Care Home which was lovely to see them.

He loves visiting the Care Home and doing his rounds saying Hello to the residents, they love him too and he brightens up their day – bless him!! We took mum back to Janet’s for the day which was a really nice day and Janet made a lovely dinner too – thanks sis!

We exchanged gifts and I got some lovely jewellery from my husband and a Koala bear onesie from my daughter Kim & I love it!!

Perfect for working from home and really warm too and so comfortable, I will wear it all the time..

Everyone had a lovely day and were happy with their presents.  We took mum home then back to play a few games – ha ha! So much fun, we played the ‘Pie Face’ game and Frustration – it was great fun playing these games with my nephews, only Glenn who didn’t get a pie in the face – we’ll get him next time.

Over the next few days we visited friends and family before heading home on 29th December.

New Year’s Eve we were at the local pub as Adam is a DJ and had the gig there, lots of our friends were there and it was a really great night! A bit of karaoke and a lot of dancing – think everyone enjoyed it as much as we did.
