My Very Own Biggles!

Earlier this year it was husband’s 50th Birthday and trying to think what to get him was a bit of a nightmare. For part of  his 40th Birthday  he did a hot air balloon ride ( with me watching cautiously from the ground!) so I wanted to get him something different.. He had also had a car day at a track in an Aston Martin DB9 so I couldn’t do that again although I think he would have appreciated it more if I could have bought him the car.

One of the things on his bucket list was to fly in a Spitfire, and although I couldn’t  arrange this for him, I went for the next best thing. This Sunday we are off to Duxford Air Museum and he is going to be flying in a Havilland Dragon Rapide, and will be flying wing to wing with a Spitfire. The flight is only for 30 minutes and the Spitfire will be alongside for 15 minutes but I’m sure he will love it. We will also be going to the Museum afterwards so it should be a lovely day out. (As long s it doesn’t get cancelled due to the weather!)
