Lovely Fathers Day Weekend

Well yesterday was Fathers Day and I was lucky enough to have the day off. On occasions like this it’s always nice to get the family together and enjoy some quality time. In the morning we had my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter around for breakfast. (we didn’t eat them by the way). I always look forward to seeing my granddaughter and we were lucky enough to be able to play in the garden as for a change as  the weather was actually on our side.

My Beautiful Grandaughter

Once we said our goodbyes to them at lunchtime it was time to head off to the shop’s to get the last minute bit’s for dinner. We only went to Asda to get cheese and 2 hours later, via Next and Matalan, I was £200 lighter! How did that happen! Once home it was time to get ready for the rest of the gang to arrive. We had my dad and my sister and her family around for dinner and my husband made a lovely Mexican for us all, no father’s day off for him. It was lovely to be able to dine in the garden and reminisce about things we had all done together (some of which is not suitable for my blog!)

The Killer’s (Can’t wait)

This coming weekend is going to be a busy one also as my husband and I, along with some friends, are off to London to see “The Killer’s” at Wembley Stadium.I am hoping that the weather will be on our side again as there is nothing worse than going to see a gig and getting soaked wet through. This ia something that I have experienced on more than one occasion. We are staying overnight on Saturday and hopefully will be able to get some retail therapy in before we head back home on Sunday afternoon to get ready for work on Monday. As they say “No rest for the wicked”
