Valentines Week – Cruising for the romantics

As this week sees Valentine’s Day upon us I thought I should write a blog for the old romantics out there to spread a bit of love. Cruising the seas and going to visit some of the most beautiful cities and places in the world can be very romantic and for those sailing as a couple there are some lines that offer some lovely things that makes a cruise for couples a very romantic way to holiday. We’ve all seen the marketing on brochures and the television with couples standing on deck with the sunset in the background or sipping champagne on the balcony so here’s a few tips below to pick a cruise that fits that image of you cruising into the sunset with your loved one.
PRINCESS
What could be more romantic then cuddling up under a blanket to watch ‘movies under the stars’ on the ships pool deck on the evenings or in the day you could lounge in the Sanctuary a retreat for adults that sees you being waited on , a spa menu  and massage services with even a couples massage to choose from.

P&O
P&O Offer the peace and tranquility of offering three adults only ships Arcadia , Oriana and Adonia. You could treat your loved one to a specialty evening by dining in Chef Marco Pierre Whites or the Ocean Grille for fine dining. If you fancy upgrading then you could book a suite for the romantic amenities of a whirlpool bath, Champagne and chocolate’s on arrival and his n hers toiletry sets from the white stuff.
CRYSTAL
If you book a penthouse suite on board then you can benefit from a butler service, marble baths with Jacuzzi tubs and there is plenty of room to have a in room massage. If your a passenger in this stateroom you can also order of the menu from the specialty restaurant’s. If you do venture out of your room then you can head for a private corner of the sunset bar where you can watch the sunset over a glass of wine.
NCL
The ships Haven suites are perfect for romantic getaways and are located away from it all in a private area of the ship. They offer a host of benefits such as Asian inspired pool area with Balinese bed and hot tub and your suite also comes with a whirlpool tub, flat screen televisions and butler service. Don’t worry if the fancy suites are out of budget then you can still use the adults only pool and escape the kids and families. On board for a romantic meal for two you can try Cagney’s steakhouse and Le Bistro a French eatery.
SEADREAM YACHT CLUB
These are passenger yachts for sophisticated couples who want a bit of luxury with a casual ambiance. The service on board is renowned for being personable, attentive and subtle. With it being All Inclusive you can have as many tipples as you fancy along with unlimited caviar. On-board for the ultimate romance you can reserve a Balinese bed for the night and sleep under the stars.
CELEBRITY
How about a picnic for two on a real grass lawn, well that’s what you can do if you’re on board the solstice class of ships. If you’re a couple that enjoy the spa experience then the Aqua class cabins and suites create an oasis of calm and give you the peace and relaxation you may crave. The cabins come with massaging shower heads; complimentary spa oriented bath and body products and upgraded bed linens. You can also have complimentary use of the Aqua spa relaxation room and Persian garden and exclusive speciality dining at the Blu restaurant. An added bonus out on deck is that adult’s only solarium has cosy double sunbeds and hammocks for you to snuggle up on in the sun.
