Cook up a storm with James Martin!

Anyone that knows me , knows that cooking isn’t one of my strong skills! I have to say it’s not that I don’t like cooking I’m just not very good at it and I must say I do prefer it when someone cooks for me. My little girl who has just turned three is quite the budding little chef, she loves making cakes and biscuits and she definately takes after her dad who also loves cooking . Martin is forever watching cookery programmes on tv and trying out new recipes on me so when I told him about the Cookery Club on P&O Britannia he got very excited!

P&O Britannia will be home to the first cookery club at sea, which with the popularity of all the cooking shows and the masterchef competitions I think is a fantastic concept and one that will no doubt be a great success.  P&O have got some great names behind it, James Martin who is going to head the club seems to be the popular choice of Celebrity chef everyone wants to meet. The classes will be interactive so you will be cooking with the Celebrity chefs and not forgetting that you will get to taste the delicious dishes they make even if your dish  isn’t that great!

You can now pre book your place in the cookery club and the prices start at just £45 per person, if you imagine how much booking something like this would be at home it would be so much higher. You can even book a hosted dinner with one of the chefs for just £100. I am betting that places are going to go very quickly so if you are booked to cruise with P&O and don’t want to miss out I would confirm your place as soon as you can. Bookings can be made around 3 months before on your departure on your cruise personaliser so don’t forget.

My favourite chef would have to be Eric Lanlard based on the fact his cakes and pastries make my mouth water just looking at the photos. You can book to have afternoon tea with Eric or in his cafe…now this would be top of my list! The afternoon tea with a twist will be £15 per person and you can book a table for up to 6 people. I recently went for afternoon tea here in Manchester and it cost more than £15, so it’s brilliant value and I’m sure the best afternoon tea you will have tasted!

A customer of mine a couple of weeks ago chose her cruise based on the fact that James Martin was going to be on board, she wasn’t worried about the itinerary,  or the dates, the deciding factor was that James Martin teach her to cook and of course pose for a photograph with her! Would you decide your cruise based on a Celebrity giving you a cookery class?? Have you booked your cruise on board Britannia yet?

Take a look at just what else Britannia & the Food Heroes are going to offer… and of course I would love to hear from you. Give me a call on 0330 303 8201 or email me [email protected]
