Celebrity Eclipse here I come!

In all my years in the cruise industry I have cruised with or been on board to visit most cruise lines….there is one  I have yet to experience….and that’ Celebrity! Over the years there has been a few opportunities for me to sail with Celebrity, even on board the Eclipse but so fate should have it I have never actually made it on board! So as you can imagine I am really excited.

On Thursday I will set sail on board Celebrity’s Eclipse, sailing from Southampton for two nights I will get to experience all this ship and this award winning cruise line have to offer. I have customers who cruise loyally every year sometimes twice a year with Celebrity and always tell me how amazing this cruise line is, so I can’t wait to step on board!

Each time I experience a new cruise ship,  I like everyone gets excited looking at the ship and all it has to offer. It’s always interesting to see when I get back from the ship if the things I initially thought would be my highlights really are!

So what am I looking forward to…? Well where do I start..?

I love experiencing all the ship has to offer from a dining point of view and one of the restaurants I am really looking forward to sampling is Qsine. If you are wondering just what Qsine is…well this is a speciality restaurant on board the Eclipse. Order your meal from an IPad, the menu is filled with unusual food from all around the world…think Sushi popcorn and Popcorn fish and chips! One meal I can’t wait to experience.

Slush is the next on my list of highlights! Now I hope the weather is going to hold out for my choice of poolside cocktail bar..hand made cocktails with fresh ingredients! My favourite is the Strawberry Daiquiri….what’s yours?

The Lawn Club is always a talking point, a unique feature on board the Solstice class ships, this concept means you can enjoy outdoor activities on real grass! Real grass on board a ship! There are lots of activities for you to try from golf, croquet or maybe just a picnic on the lawn! (watch this space…)

The Canyon Ranch Spa club is a part of the ship I will be hoping to experience during my time on board. Think pure relaxation, beauty treatments, and pampering this is the largest Spa club at sea. This Spa has been voted the best spa at sea and I can’t wait to see if it lives up to it expectations!

Of course there are lots and lots of highlights I could look at….this time next week I’m sure my list will have grown and I will as always let you know my thoughts and of course treat you to lots of photographs of the ship. And not forgetting I will get the chance to meet Ben Fogle….how exciting…yes he is going to be board and I am lucky enough to be invited to one of his talks on board!
