Virgin Voyages To Host Second Annual Food And Drink Festival

Foodies escaping on a Virgin Voyages cruise this summer will be in for a whole host of tasty treats!

The adults-only cruise line is staging its second annual Eat & Drink Festival across its ships Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady and Resilient Lady, this August and September.

An array of well-known food and drink experts, including Brad Farmerie, Sohui Kim, Eric Kim Haugen, Matt Lambert, Silvana Salcido Esparza, Waki Ng, and Virgin Voyages’ very own Chef Levi Mezick, along with legendary mixologists Charles Joly and Miami beverage creators Unfiltered Hospitality and Cocktail Cartel, will be returning for a second year to lead the tasty series of events.

Alongside these connoisseurs, several new gastronomic wizards will also be hosting events, including George Motz, Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, author and producer; Effie Panagopoulos, the first Greek woman in history to start a liquor brand; and Mark Farrell, the founder of Ten to One Rum, among others.

Virgin Voyages will also be teaming up with their beverage partners Intelligentsia, JoJo Tea and Filthy Food to host engaging, hands-on events. Overall, there will be more than 30 delectable activities, including fleet-wide celebrations hosted in onboard restaurants The Wake and Razzle Dazzle, as well as ship-only exclusives like a champagne and fried chicken event hosted on Scarlet Lady!

Some events will be free for guests, however, some will incur an additional fee.

The festival reflects Virgin Voyages’ commitment to excellent drink and dining venues. The cruise line recently won a Wine Spectator “Award of Excellence” for its 1920s-inspired steakhouse, The Wake, and Best Dining Venue at the TravelAge West WAVE Award for its Mexican street food eatery, Pink Agave.

This August and September, in addition to hosting its Eat & Drink Festival, Virgin Voyages will be sailing to sunny sites across the globe, from the sandy shores of the Caribbean to the storied sites of the Mediterranean.
