Tony Award®-nominated Beetlejuice The Musical will be hitting the main stage of Norwegian Cruise Line’s brand-new ship, Norwegian Viva, as the vessel’s headline production.
The toe-tapping musical comedy is a 90-minute Broadway adaption of Tim Burton’s iconic 1988 film, which tells the story of the Deetz family as they attempt to remodel a spooky, haunted house. Performers will sing and dance to show tune classics like Day-O and Jump in the Line (Shake, Senora) as part of the captivating show.
Norwegian Viva’s three-story multi-purpose Viva Theatre and Club will play host to the entertainment extravaganza. Home to contemporary special effects, a glittering chandelier, VIP lounge seating, and a multi-level video wall, the Viva Theatre and Club will also stage other special performances and events alongside Beetlejuice, such as the Ocean Music Fest where several musicians will merge their talents on stage as part of an epic immersive concert.

Beetlejuice The Musical is just one of several entertainment offerings that will wow passengers onboard Norwegian Viva. The ship will also stage the popular live game show The Price is Right LIVE, budding comedians at the Improv @ Sea Comedy Club, and rock and roll tributes at Syd Norman’s Pour House.
Launching in the summer of 2023, Norwegian Viva is the second of six vessels in the cruise line’s highly anticipated Prima Class, which ooze modern style, exceptional cuisine and Norwegian Cruise Line’s most spacious design yet. Onboard Norwegian Viva, guests will be able to zoom down the exhilarating Viva Speedway-the three-level racetrack, enjoy nine new dining and beverage options, experience the thrill of the fastest slides at sea, The Drop and Rush, and soak up the cool vibes of the industry-exclusive sustainable cocktail bar, the Metropolitan Bar.
Norwegian Viva is set to voyage to the sunny Greek Isles and bucket-list destinations in the Mediterranean through to November, before homeporting in San Juan, Puerto Rico in December for a season of Caribbean itineraries.
