Stories From “Coco,” “Zootopia,” And More To Feature On Disney Treasure

Characters and stories from hit films “Coco” and “Zootopia” are set to grace the all-new Disney Treasure! Disney Cruise Line has unveiled captivating details about the public spaces and live entertainment on its upcoming ship, scheduled to debut next year.

Coco, portraying the story of Miguel and his musical passion, takes centre stage at the Plaza de Coco theatrical dining experience aboard Disney Treasure. This enchanting venue features a central stage surrounded by dining tables and offers a captivating performance that immerses guests in Miguel’s musical journey during dinner.

Elsewhere, a new sweetshop, Jumbeaux’s Sweets, is set to open on Disney Treasure. Eagle-eyed fans will recognise it as reminiscent of the beloved ice cream parlour, Jumbeaux Café, from Disney’s Zootopia. A sculpture featuring characters Officer Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde greets guests at the pink-themed space, offering over 20 flavours of handmade gelato, 16 ice cream flavours and sorbets, speciality treats, and more.

Beloved Disney Parks will serve as inspiration for a number of other venues onboard too. For instance, the Skipper Society will bring Disney Parks’ famous Jungle Cruise attraction to life at sea for the very first time! Underneath the warmth of a green canopy of jungle-like foliage, passengers will be able to dive into themed cocktails and enjoy live entertainment in this slick lounge venue.

Additionally, the new Periscope Pub will be the first Disney Cruise Line venue influenced by the magic of Walt Disney’s 1954 film, “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea,” featuring submarine-style interiors, industrial touches, and polished metals. Plus, an all-new suite, the Tomorrow Tower Suite, will capture the essence of EPCOT’s World Discovery neighbourhood, featuring distinct and plush furnishings, all situated in the ship’s forward funnel!

Guests in the Tomorrow Tower Suite, which accommodates up to eight people, can enjoy stunning horizon views through a tall two-story window and explore almost 2,000 sqft of living space.

Outdoors on Disney Treasure, guests will be plunged into the world of Mickey Mouse animated shorts on AquaMouse: Curse of the Golden Egg, a suspended course whereby powerful jets will propel two-person vehicles through 760 feet of winding tubes, offering breathtaking views of the ocean.

“The Disney Treasure will bring brand-new stories to life, blending one-of-a-kind experiences with extraordinary entertainment, world-class dining, and unparalleled hospitality that make every sailing so memorable.

As we chart a course for adventure, we’re so excited for families to discover the excitement and exploration that awaits onboard the sixth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet.”

Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager, Disney Cruise Line.

Avid Disney fans will be able to board Disney Treasure and see her in all her glittering glory from Christmas 2024. The ship will sail on a range of seven-night itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral after her maiden voyage on 21st December 2024.
