Royal Caribbean Unveils Utopia Of The Seas

Royal Caribbean International has unveiled the brand-new Oasis Class ship, Utopia of the Seas, with more ways than ever to play, dine and celebrate onboard.

The ship will debut with shorter, ultimate 3-night weekend and 4-night weekday getaways, with the cruise line describing their newest addition as “The World’s Biggest Weekend”.

Utopia of the Seas will be a ship of firsts, being the first Oasis Class ship to be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) and the first in this ship class to offer these short breaks when she departs from Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida in July 2024.

With a combination of over 40 ways to dine and drink, more pools than ever before, and endless ways to thrill and chill, the vessel will provide unmatched weekend energy for guests onboard. Additionally, Royal Caribbean’s private island in the Bahamas, Perfect Day at CocoCay, will offer even more of these exciting features: including a new adults-only Hideaway Beach opening in early 2024.

Utopia will debut a series of firsts and reimagined experiences: such as a brand-new Caribbean tiki bar; a unique and immersive dining experience; the longest dry slide at sea; newly designed resort-style pools; and so much more.

“Vacationers are looking to make every moment count by celebrating and recharging with their friends and family, and Utopia of the Seas makes all that possible in more ways than one. With the variety of dining, bars, pools, entertainment and thrills that make Oasis Class ships revolutionary and the experiences to match on our private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay, we’ve combined the best of the best to create the world’s biggest weekend for everyone.

Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean International

Making a splash

Guests onboard Utopia of the Seas will have the choice of five different pools for every mood of their holiday, ranging from upbeat to lowkey vibes.

Three resort-style pools are at the centre of the action, where guests can relax, soak up the sun and listen to island tunes. Grab quick, easy bites and refreshing drinks at the nearby Lime & Coconut bars, along with a brand-new poolside food truck offering handheld favourites. At these pools, adrenaline seekers can also hit The Perfect Storm’s high-speed waterslides, while kids can take on Splashaway Bay.

At the tranquil adults-only Solarium, relax and recharge in calming pools and whirlpools, complete with a bar, daybeds, panoramic ocean views and the Solarium Bistro.

Exclusive to the Suite Neighbourhood, the Suite Sun Deck and pool offers a birds-eye view of the ocean, alongside a private oasis of daybeds, loungers, umbrellas and more.

And if that’s not enough, guests can dry off on deck by diving into record-breaking thrills: such as the Ultimate Abyss slide; the 10-story-high zip line; the signature FlowRider surf simulator; mini golf at AquaDunes; and Utopia Playscape for the little ones.

A world of flavours

With over 20 dining options available onboard Utopia of the Seas, every guest will be catered for- no matter what tickles their tastebuds.

Being revealed at a later date, the main attraction for food-lovers will be a new, immersive dining experience that will combine multiple courses, technology, different destinations and storylines to engage all the senses.

A reimagined Izumi restaurant will feature in Utopia’s dining options, with double the teppanyaki tables and new al fresco seating. A new Izumi in the Park window located in Central Park will also join this Royal Caribbean staple, serving up fresh sushi and Japanese-inspired sweets.

Now spanning two stories, Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar will bring an Italian flair, with authentic dishes and classic cocktails with a twist. Guests can also enjoy Gio’s Terrazza, the new outside terrace overlooking the Boardwalk.

Returning Royal Caribbean dining favourites include The Mason Jar Southern Restaurant & Bar, Windjammer, Hooked Seafood, and Chops Grille.

Celebrating every occasion

Whether celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a great night out, guests are just steps away from over 20 different bars and entertainment spots: including two casinos with over 370 slot machines, live music venues and showstopping onboard shows.

For a slice of paradise, Pesky Parrot is the new Caribbean bar located on the Royal Promenade. Enjoy tropical beverages, including fruit-based cocktails made with rum, tequila and gin- alongside frozen drinks and more.

Five live music venues will range from Spotlight Karaoke bar and Latin hotspot, Boleros, to the Music Hall, Schooner Piano Bar, and Bell & Barley- the traditional English pub with a live guitarist ready to entertain all night long.

In the AquaTheater, be immersed in the cruise line’s original productions taking centre stage across air, ice, water and theatre: such as high diving, slacklining and showstopping acrobatics. Alternatively, witness ice-skating feats in Studio B, or theatrical performances at the Royal Theater.

When it comes to picking the perfect room, guests will be able to choose from over 20 different accommodation types with options of different views and layouts, suitable for friend groups and families of any size. For a little added luxury, onboard suite categories will include the Royal Loft Suite, Ultimate Family Suite, and the all-new Solarium Suites.

The celebrations don’t stop onboard, with Utopia of the Seas itineraries packing in double the island time, visiting Nassau in The Bahamas, and Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay.

More details will gradually be revealed about the ship in the build-up to Utopia of the Seas‘ highly anticipated debut next summer.
