Royal Caribbean Reveals Brand-New Star Of The Seas

Royal Caribbean has made waves by unveiling the name of their newest Icon Class ship, Star of the Seas.

Set to debut in summer 2025, the ship will follow in the footsteps of sister ship, Icon of the seas, in starting a new era of vacations at sea. From beach retreats to resort escapes, all ships in the sparkling new Icon Class will offer guests a unique combination of cruise holidays.

The line-up of new experiences and established favourites onboard Star of the Seas will set the stage to provide even more choice for every type of family and adventurer to make memories, without compromising. Currently under construction in Turku, Finland, features onboard the new ship will be announced soon.

Additionally, Star of the Seas will join the cruise line’s fleet as the third ship to be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), combining the use of the cleanest-burning marine fuel available to date with a line-up of industry-leading environmental programmes onboard.

“The idea of combining the best of every type of vacation into one ultimate adventure has created more excitement than ever anticipated, and Star of the Seas will be the next bold answer to the record-breaking consumer demand we’ve seen for nearly a year and counting with Icon of the Seas.”

Michael Bayley, President and CEO, Royal Caribbean International

Before Star of the Seas debuts in summer 2025, cruise fans can look forward to sailing the high seas onboard sister ship, Icon of the Seas, from early next year. As the first ship in Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class, highlights onboard include six record-breaking water slides, seven pools, over 40 ways to dine and drink, a stay-all day neighbourhood for young families (Surfside), plus entertainment across air, ice, water, and stage.

More details about Star of the Seas will be revealed at a later date- keep your eyes peeled for more details soon!
