Princess Cruises Celebrates 40 Years of Mediterranean Sailings With New 2025 Programme

Princess Cruises’ newest and largest ships, Sun Princess and Star Princess, will headline the cruise line’s 2025 Europe cruises and cruisetours season as it celebrates its 40th anniversary sailing in the Mediterranean.

Travellers looking for the ultimate European adventure will be delighted by Princess Cruises’ 2025 cruises and cruisetours season, offering a realm of abundant natural beauty, history and diverse cultures.

Guests will be able to enjoy a relaxed and stress-free travel experience on six of the cruise line’s stunning ships: headliners Sun Princess and Star Princess, plus Majestic Princess, Sky Princess, Regal Princess and Emerald Princess.

To celebrate 40 years since Princess first set sail in the Mediterranean, Star Princess will join sister-ship, Sun Princess, in this gorgeous destination for her debut cruising season. Departing on 4th August 2025, her maiden voyages include a nine-day Italy & Greece roundtrip voyage from Rome, followed by a variety of 10-day sailings visiting iconic ports such as Florence, Barcelona and Mykonos.

Sun Princess will also sail the Mediterranean, with a series of seven-day voyages from Barcelona, Rome or Athens, visiting coveted destinations including Istanbul, Naples and Santorini.

With both of the the cruise line’s newest ships exhibiting next-generation features, hosting 4,300 guests and offering 29 restaurants and bars over 21 decks, guests will be immersed in Princess’ ground-breaking designs; a standout venue being The Dome, a cutting-edge top-deck entertainment space inspired by Santorini’s tiered cliffs.

Highlights of the 2025 Europe season, from March through November, include:

Mediterranean

Joining Star Princess and Sun Princess, Emerald Princess, Majestic Princess and Sky Princess will complete the line up for a variety of seven- to 31-day Mediterranean sailings, departing from Rome (Civitavecchia), London (Southampton), Athens (Piraeus), Trieste (Venice) and Barcelona.

Also new for 2025, Sky Princess’ 31-day Mediterranean Marvel cruise offers More Ashore late-nights in Mykonos, Santorini and Jerusalem/Bethlehem (Ashdod).

British Isles

Emerald Princess and Regal Princess will depart from Southampton for a range of 10- to 14-day cruises around the British Isles.

Guests onboard these voyages can explore historic sites and landmarks such as the Scottish Highlands, The Beatles’ hometown of Liverpool and the prehistoric wonder of Stonehenge. And for those who enjoy a livelier scene, late-night stays in Belfast will allow guests to experience the region’s bustling nightlife.

Northern Europe

On a selection of five- to 28-day Northern Europe voyages, Emerald Princess and Sky Princess will visit beautiful destinations in this region, including Sweden, Norway, Denmark and more.

Additionally, select sailings will also be offering late night calls in classic cities such as Copenhagen and Berlin.

Grand Adventures & Passages

All six ships embarking on Princess Cruises’ 2025 Europe season sail between North America and Europe for the ultimate transatlantic crossing- offering 15- to 29-day voyages.

Cruisetours

Princess Cruises will also offer travellers the option to combine their cruise with multiple days on land to experience more of the region.

With a selection of cruisetours to choose from, guests can sightsee in Madrid on the Highlights of Spain cruisetour, visit Florence and Rome on the Classic Italy cruisetour, discover Mediterranean treasures on the Best of Greece cruisetour or marvel at spectacular Irish landscapes on the Ring of Kerry cruisetour.

Sky Princess, Regal Princess and Emerald Princess cruises departing from Southampton in 2025 will go on sale on 25th May, while Mediterranean-based sailings on Sun Princess, Star Princess and Majestic Princess go on sale on 1st June.
