New ‘Currents’ Zone Onboard Carnival Jubilee Wows Guests

Carnival Cruise Line has shared a closer look at its new ‘Currents’ zone onboard Carnival Jubilee, a high-tech underwater-themed area spanning two decks.

New zone-wide features developed specifically for Currents showcase the thrill of discovery and include ‘Seaquest: A Fun Sub Adventure’. This fun feature transforms the area’s promenade into a fully immersive experience for guests with six LED portals, a 100-foot-long wave-like LED ceiling, lighting, music, and sound effects.

This submarine-like experience takes guests on an exciting underwater journey, visiting extraordinary locations and encountering incredible ocean creatures.

Additionally, guests will get to experience other zone-wide activations onboard Carnival Jubilee, such as ‘Change the Currents’, which transforms the zone into six different underwater worlds: including cool arctic waters inhabited by penguins and orcas; colourful coral reefs with fish and sea turtles; coastal mangroves home to alligators and crabs; and even a cave filled with sharks.

Each environment will transform the entire ambience of the zone, including the colours and sounds that guests see and hear. For kids, ‘Create A Fish’ allows younger guests to design their very own sea creature and watch it magically come to life on the ship’s LED screens.

As the evenings draw in onboard Carnival Jubilee, the Currents zone will showcase stunning, otherworldly destinations to guests as they enjoy a drink at Dr,Inks, Ph.D or dinner at Emeril’s Bistro 717. Each cruise night will boast different themes, from neon fish swimming past one night to being surrounded by trendy underwater apartments the next.

The Currents zone will also feature Soundwaves Jukebox, a music-activated visualiser that brings songs to life through exciting visuals and colourful light displays.

In addition, guests can find Currents Atlas onboard Carnival Jubilee, where they can view real-time locations of all Carnival ships on an interactive map. Here, they will also be able to learn fun facts about sea creatures and their migratory patterns around the world, along with other interesting oceanic and geographical details.

“Seaquest is a truly first-of-its-kind experience that brings together the real and fantastical to create an exciting onboard excursion. As they adventure through the world created for Seaquest, guests will see the Carnival Seacation resort, explore a neon glowing grotto, encounter a giant jellyfish school, navigate among cosmic whale sharks and journey to the kingdom of The Golden Mermaid, which helps tell the story behind one of the unique new venues created for Carnival Jubilee.”
