Holland America Line Reveals Details Of Diverse Asia 2024-2025 Season

Holland America Line has revealed that their 2024-2025 Asia cruise season will be the most diverse to date, with 49 ports across 10 different countries.

The season will also feature nine unique 14-day itineraries, alongside two longer 28- and 53-day Legendary Voyages, which will showcase the deep culture and history of Asia.

The cruise line is set to explore the wonders of the Far East, with departures from Hong Kong, China; Yokohama (Tokyo), Japan; and Singapore. These departures will set sail to some of the most exciting cities across 10 countries, with a strong focus on Japan.

Holland America Line’s, Noordam, will sail a series of nine varying 14-day itineraries travelling around Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. Guests will also benefit from late departures and overnight ports, allowing extra time for sampling the nightlife, cuisine and culture of the region.

Westerdam will also be making her way to Asia on a new 53-day “Majestic Japan” Legendary Voyage roundtrip from Seattle. Travellers who choose to embark on this itinerary can visit the Far East with a convenient North American flight and easy embarkation.

Longer Legendary Voyages

Holland America Line’s extended Legendary Voyages trips range from 25 to 59 days and combine the ceremony of a Grand Voyage with itineraries that feature a comprehensive collection of ports- designed to enrich the experience in each destination.

Westerdam’s new 53- or 52-Day “Majestic Japan” voyages will depart from the 1st (or 2nd if opting for the shorter itinerary) September 2024, either roundtrip Seattle, Washington, or between Vancouver, Canada, and Seattle. This Legendary Voyage from Holland America Line will feature 21 ports in total, calling at 13 throughout Japan and with overnights in Yokohama (Tokyo), Kobe (Japan), and Honolulu (Hawaii).

For Noordam, the new 28-Day “Coral Triangle, Volcanoes, and The Great Barrier Reef” will be departing on 5th January 2025. Roundtrip from Singapore, this Legendary Voyage will explore 10 ports in five countries, including Indonesia and the Philippines; with scenic cruising in the famed Great Barrier Reef, Torres Strait, and past the Kumba and Krakatau volcanoes.

2024-2025 Asia Season Highlights

Holland America Line’s 13-Day “North Pacific Crossing” between Vancouver and Yokohama will depart on 29th September 2024, including calls at Sitka and Kodiak, Alaska, and Kushiro, Japan. Whereas, the 15-Day itinerary will depart on 27th April 2025 and will visit Kushiro, and Alaska’s Kodiak, Juneau, Ketchikan and Glacier Bay.

The “Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines” 14-Day voyage will sail between Yokohama and Singapore, calling at Osaka (overnight), Naha and Ishigaki, Japan; Keelung (Taipei) and Kaohsiung, Taiwan; and Manila, Boracay and Puerto Princesa, Philippines.

Guests opting for the “Far East Discovery” sailing will cruise for 14 days between Hong Kong and Singapore. During this cruise, there will be calls at Halong Bay, Da Nang (Hue), Nha Trang and Phu My, Vietnam; Sihanoukville, Cambodia; and Laem Chabang (Bangkok, overnight) and Nathon (Koh Samui), Thailand.

For the cruise line’s 14-Day “Japan and South Korea Discovery” roundtrip from Yokohama, Japan calls will include Kobe (overnight), Kochi, Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Kagoshima. Additionally, South Korea calls will feature Sokocho, Busan, Jeju City (Cheju) and Incheon (Seoul).

Back-to-Back Cruises

Holland America Line guests will also have the opportunity to book back-to-back cruises with a Collector’s Voyage. Ranging from 27 to 42 days, Asia Collectors’ Voyages are the perfect option for avid explorers seeking a more extensive cruise experience.
