Celebrity Cruises are, once again, raising the bar within the cruising industry by becoming the first cruise line to ever win the coveted Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards.
This recognition awarded to the cruise line is made even more significant as Celebrity’s ships join an elite and exclusive group of less than 20 land-based properties with over 1000 rooms in the world to ever receive the award.
Forbes Travel Guide is the global authority on all luxury hospitality, and the only rating system for top tier hotels, restaurants, spas and (the new) ocean cruise category. Venues of this kind are inspected by professionals all across the globe, who anonymously evaluate establishments based on hundreds of exacting standards to determine their annual Star Ratings.
Celebrity Apex, Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Flora, Celebrity Millennium and Celebrity Summit are the five inaugural resorts at sea Star-Rated ships. The remainder of Celebrity Cruises’ 15-ship fleet will be evaluated in the coming year- aside from the cruise line’s smaller Galapagos ships.

The newly Star-rated Celebrity ships represent three of the cruise line’s class of ships:
Edge Series- Hailed as architectural masterpieces, these ships offer a plethora of industry firsts on a cruise ship: including an outward facing resort deck, the world’s first cantilevered floating bar, luxurious new state rooms, and much more.
Millennium Series- These ships offer a more intimate cruising experience, with just over 1000 staterooms each.
Mega-Yacht- In this class, Celebrity Flora is an exclusive 100-passenger luxury ship, designed specifically for Galapagos expeditions and to merge with its surroundings. She features all-natural materials, a state-of-the-art positioning system and solar panels, making it one of the most eco-friendly ships at sea.
