AMAzing food and accomodation

Carrying on from my first River cruise experience I thought I would share with you my findings on the accommodation and the food on board the AMAPrima .
The accommodation I stayed in was a Twin Balcony on Violin deck. The Twin Balconies consist of a French Balcony plus a separate Outside Balcony which was really private.
My cabin

The twin balcony Staterooms were about 170 Square feet and has a real spacious feel including plenty of wardrobe space and a desk /dressing table plus 2 comfy chairs and a table.Amenities included are ;
Flat-screen TV featuring local and satellite channels.
Hair dryer
Bathrobes and slippers
Safe
Mini Bar
Umbrella
Free Wifi
Air Conditioning
2 bottles of water replenished daily
Plus a bathroom filled with amenities such as magnifying mirror and spa-quality toiletries including soaps, body wash, shampoo, conditioner.

We also visited a cabin which was just a french balcony , a sliding door/window that opens really lovely light and airy

If you are trying to keep the cost down the lead in cabins are the River view cabins which have a small rectangular window at head height.

I was really impressed with the cabins and the bathrooms a lot more modern and spacious than I thought.Although thumbs up to the Twin balcony as they were gorgeous!!!

The main dining room catered for all passengers and could seat all guests at the same time. There are no set tables for guests but it is a sociable occasion as there was not any tables for 2. The main dining room had 2 cosy little rooms just at the side that you could request to be seated in.
seperate dining room
The menu in the main restaurant was very similar to what you would expect on a Ocean cruise , you had your chef’s special made up of 5/ 6 courses. The food was delicious and I would say a really good choice for every taste.
steakpudding
Once a week every guest is invited to eat at the chefs table which is similar to a A la carte on a Ocean Cruise , an exclusive dining room which only holds 28 guests. Its a 6 / 7 set menu that you can see below;

I was not the chosen one to dine here on my short visit but a colleague was and he found the experience up there with the best of luxury cruises!!
Again first impressions of River cruises 10/10
