Celebrity Constellation to receive a new Burger Restaurant and a lick of Paint! Plus Much More.

Celebrity Cruises! Why not? Anyone who knows me will know how much I love Celebrity. They are known for Modern Luxury and do what they do so well, Celebrity are very elegant and sophistication that is found onboard any of the ships in the Celebrity Fleet.

I have always favoured the newer ships under the Solstice Class, than the smaller ships in the Millennium Class, although you generally find the smaller ships have the more unusual itinerary such as the Middle and Fast East, South America and Alaska leaving the bigger ships doing routes such as Europe, the Caribbean and Australia and New Zealand.

However recently someone returned from the Celebrity Summit and said it was significantly better than the Eclipse which was prior to that her favourite ship, I must admit I was really surprised however it appears that Celebrity are really investing in the older ships, which is great news, this way they have a really strong fleet across the board.

Celebrity Constellation is currently in Dry Dock as we speak and will come out on the 26th May, she is having some major changes and a general tidy up which cannot be done whilst the ship is sailing, one of the biggest changes will be a new restaurant – one that is completely new to Celebrity so I expect this to pop up on other ships to but it will be call the ‘Top Deck Burger Bar’. I think the name alone is something that would appeal majority to the younger and American market which is what at the moment Celebrity seem to be concentrating on what with the relaxed dress codes and enhanced sailings in the Caribbean year-round. The Burger bar will however be very special – you will be able to order gourmet burgers however this will be chargeable. It will feature the new ‘Celebrity Signature Burger’ which consists of an eight-ounce dry aged Kobe Beef burgher with slow roasted port, port salut cheese, arugula, caramelized onions and a roasted garlic aioli, all served on a homemade brioche bun! Certainly, not available a MacDonald’s!

She will also have the Rooftop terrace which is found on the other Millennium Class Ships, here you can take in a movie or even try a new experience – ‘A Taste of Film’ which is a dinner and movie concept, what a great way to spend the evening sailing in the Med or Caribbean!

She will also receive the RFID Door locks, which is completely new to Celebrity which will allow you to just simply tap your SeaPass card on the door and it will open.

However, it is important to say that most staterooms will not be refurbished however all suites are getting refreshed furniture and fixings.

There will also be a newly updated shopping area and the addition of Celebrity High end portrait studio, ‘The Studio’

Are you sailing on the Constellation this summer?
