Newest Carnival Ships Itineraries Announced for 2018 – Including Europe!

 

 

Carnival Horizon which is Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship and sister to Vista is due to set sail in April 2018. Her home ports will include Miami, New York and also Barcelona.

Her maiden voyage will be on 2nd April for 13 nights and during this sailing she will visit Rome (Italy), Naples (Italy), Dubrovnik (Croatia), Greek ports, Sicily, Sardinia and Malta.  The 3,936 guest ship will then follow up with two seven night cruises and then a 10 night sailing also in the Mediterranean.

Following these Mediterranean sailings, the new ship will sail a 14 night itinerary to reposition to New York and then will sail eight night sailings to the Caribbean.  Her Caribbean itineraries will include Amber Cove, Grand Turk and San Juan during the summer months.

On 20th September, she’ll offer a one off 2 night cruise to the Bahamas before returning to Miami to sail regular six and eight night Caribbean itineraries starting on Saturdays and Sundays.  There will be a mixture of itineraries including:

Grand Turk, Curacao, La Romana and Aruba departing Saturdays

Grand Turk, St Maarten, St Kitts and San Juan (Puerto Rico) departing Saturdays

Ocho Rios (Jamaica), Cozumel (Mexico) and Grand Cayman departing Sundays

 

The ship is the second in this class and will have a lot of the same popular facilities and activities as Vista as well as the very popular Family Harbor cabins and Havana cabins as well as SkyRide and the IMAX Theatre.

Horizon will also have some new and exclusive restaurants which are due to be announced at a later date.

 

The ship is currently still under construction in Italy at the Fincantieri ship yard which is scheduled to build another 3 Vista Class ships in 2019/2020. Many of the P&O and Holland America ships have also been built here.
