IT’S A……

As you’ll know, I announced a few weeks ago that we have a bun in the oven 🙂 See the post here:

I’m expecting!!!

Well, on Saturday morning we went for a scan, taking Aimee and Rafe with us. It was only a quick appointment, purely to have a quick check on baby and to determine the sex.

Any guesses?

IT’S A BOY!!!!

I’d had a feeling it would be purely just because of the symptoms I had (horrendous sickness and nausea in the first few weeks along with fatigue). I had those symptoms when I was pregnant with Rafe too but not with Aimee. That was the only reason I thought it might be a boy despite all of the old wives tales pointing at it being a girl (just shows they really ARE just old wives tales).

So we’ve started shopping now!

We’ve also already bought the pram/pushchair/car seat travel system and the nursery furniture as well as a bouncer/swing.  Now we just need a new house and we’re all set! 🙂

We’re hoping to move before baby is born in January but if not, shortly after.

It’s all very exciting.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank you ALL for your lovely messages, gifts and comments – they really mean a lot and I’ll be sure to keep you all updated on our journey!

Now – throw your unusual/old fashioned/not common boys names at me. We’re struggling!!

So far we have (in no particular order of preference)

Jenson

Phoenix

Fox

Fabian

Avery

Hunter

Caspian

Austin

Rowan

River

Let me know your thoughts on any of these and any others you have! 🙂 I already have an Aimee and a Rafe (I love the name Ralph but Rafe is a form of Ralph so that wouldn’t really work!)

Looking forward to your suggestions 🙂
