Made me smile!

As well as keeping you informed on the best cruise offers around and what’s hot or not in the market, I thought I’d share this with you in case you missed it in the press last week.

I opened the newspaper to find a passenger on board a flight wrapped in a plastic bag! Surely this would be against airline policies, would you not think? We’re not allowed to take liquids in our hand luggage over 100ml but the gentleman next to you is allowed to travel the full flight wrapped in a plastic bag without air holes. In an emergency situation, is he allowed to break free like a Super Hero to reach for his oxygen mask or is that also forbidden?

Apparently the gentleman in question was believed to be a Kohein, a religious descendant of the priests of ancient Israel, who are banned from flying over cemeteries. The plastic bag is said to create a barrier between the Kohein and the surrounding tumai or impurity.

It was said this passenger caused a bit of a stir on board with many passengers taking advantage of a prime photo opportunity. I think if I were on board I’d be thinking is there something he knows that I don’t, should I also be packing my oversize bin bag to protect me from all evil next time I fly!
