QM2 Remastered: We're On Board!
June 24, 2016
As we’re sure you already know, QM2 has undertaken a multi-million pound refurbishment and has re-launched with 15 new single cabins, an additional 30 Britannia Club cabins and glamorous new designs featuring signature colour schemes, new carpets and more decorative fixtures. And best of all, the ever popular kennels on-board have been expanded to cater for the high demand!
The www.CRUISE.co.uk team were lucky enough to be on-board QM2 for the launch and for the first glimpse of her makeover, so stay here for all the exclusive images!
Let’s start with the atrium; you’ll be welcomed with an open, light and airy space with a brand new carpet in soothing and muted tones. Cunard has stuck with its traditional decor but has added a contemporary touch. Someone might even be playing the piano for you…
The designers have claimed to have ensured every area of the ship has a clear, distinct and confident look and feel. The look they have wanted to emphasise is that of understated elegance.
QM2 brings you new and sophisticated designs in the cabins with a sense of glamour and relaxation. The Britannia balcony stateroom has bold furnishings with imperial blue and antique gold highlights to honour Cunard’s art deco heritage.
The Grill suite also holds subtle references to Cunard’s unrivalled heritage in the carpet, colour scheme and furnishings. Its restyling has reconfigured these suites to maximise space.
The grills restaurant has more of the sought-after tables for two, increased space between tables and an improved ambiance. The decor has been re-designed to give guests beautiful and elegant furnishings that compliments the menus and the White Star service.
Kings Court still serves as the ship’s Lido buffet: a popular spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a casual atmosphere and cuisine picked from around the world.
The Queens room has the largest dance floor on any ship at sea so you can still head here for glamorous balls on an evening or choose the nightclub for something a little more contemporary.
The Royal Court theatre seats 1000 people and a digital backdrop to enhance your visual experience when watching a performance, musical, musician or comedy act.
You’ll have five pools to choose from including the terrace pool, the Minnows pool, the sun deck splash pool and the pavilion pool. You’ll have a choice of fitness classes, state of the art gym facilities and spa treatments too from the Canyon Ranch Spa Club.
The kennels on-board Cunard have not only returned with QM2 Remastered but they have expanded down to the sheer demand for them!
You can rely on a vast array of stores on-board from Chanel to Furla to shop jewellery, fashion and the latest fragrances.
