Please don’t forget

Hey Cruisers

Hope you are all well and enjoying your cruises to all those different parts of the world, you are certainly travelling some distances, which is good to see, anyways while we are on the subject of far flung places, do me a really big favour and make sure to check if you need visa’s, this unfortunately is becoming more of a headache every year, especially because of the world we live in now.

It is really important that you make sure to check whether a visa is required in every port you visit, I have heard nightmare stories of people arriving to either the ship or the airport at their final destination and been turned away because they have not got the right visa or paperwork.

Nowadays it is very important to not only check each countries visa requirement (safest bet is to check their website online) but It is advisable to check with your cruise line direct, as I am hearing some cruise lines want more paperwork that what you are being told online at each countries website.

Yep I hear you thinking “Oh what a pain, can’t be bothered with all that” well too be honest it is quite painless and very easily navigated.

My first point of contact would be

www.cibtvisas.co.uk

This is a great tool to get you started, this website is up to date and should give you the information you need, I would also call your cruise line direct  and ask them exactly what paperwork they need for each country you are going to be visiting, and finally just to be on the safe side, I would recommend you check each countries website, a quick search on google should get you to where you need. I can’t stress enough how important it is for you to check, the last thing you want is to ruin your holiday because of an oversight. I’m afraid it happens all the time and will continue to happen, so if any of you that have booked a cruise with me and you are not sure, there is no excuse now.

So until next time

Keep on cruising 🙂
