P&O Cruises ! Are They Being A Bit Too Harsh ?

P&O cruises have announced that they will be limiting the amount of alcohol you take on board and not only that they have also decided to prohibit offensive clothing !

So what does this mean for you !

Well from the 1st  February 2018, any guest aged 18years or older can only bring on board a single bottle of alcohol, such as wine, Champagne, beer, spirits or liqueur, but only up to 1 litre in size as you embark the ship for the first time.

Any additional alcohol that you decide to purchase ashore or if you decide to buy any alcohol in the on-board duty free shops on board you will not be able to consume on board the ship. All Alcohol will be confiscated from you and held until the last night of each sailing.

Another policy change, as of 1st January 2018 :

P&O also include a ban on custom group clothing with personal photos or slogans, fancy dress, novelty or clothing personalised with images/slogans will not be permitted. As well as clothing with offensive messages and fancy dress outside of designated theme nights, which could include 60s, 70s, tropical, Western or black and white.

Under this new policy, P&O also requires any guests aged 17 and older to adhere to two dress codes: resort wear or leisurewear for evening casual nights (no light jeans, football shirts, trainers or shorts) and cocktail dresses or evening gowns for women and suits or tuxedos for men on black tie nights.

Oh my P&O you are being a bit of a spoil sport !

With the prices not exactly being cheap on board, I’m sure some guests may get upset with this arrangement, perhaps it’s time for P&O to think about introducing drinks packages on board like many of their competitors or being all inclusive where the drinks are all included with the cost of the cruise.

What are your thoughts on this ?

Do you think P&O are being a bit harsh ? Let me know your thoughts !
