What's Included In The Price?
What Are The Ships Like?
Viking ships set the standard in comfort and design. The ships accommodate around 190 guests, and all ships are light, airy and wonderfully spacious. Panoramic windows throughout make the most of the ever-changing views; it's like staying in a comfortable floating hotel — one that travels with you
If you haven't traveled with Viking before, stepping inside one of the staterooms may take you by surprise. All the Viking staterooms are outside, with a river view. Roomy and filled with light, they offer ensuite facilities and plenty of storage space. There's a wide range of different staterooms to choose from, some with verandas, and two-room suites.
Every ship offers a choice of public areas where you can sit back and watch the world go by. Relax on the Sun Deck, enjoy a drink in the stylish and spacious Lounge, or on the new Viking Longships, unwind as you dine in the open air on the Aquavit Terrace – the most al fresco dining available on the river.
Viking River Cruises' ships are small, carrying an average of 150 passengers. They are Scandinavian in design, with open, spacious interiors. Travellers benefit from all the amenities and services that they might expect in a top hotel, plus extensive, panoramic views throughout the ships. Each of the Viking staterooms has a view of the river from either a window or balcony. Each room has an array of features that one would expect from a 4 star hotel, along with the beauty of water views, satellite television and comfortable beds.
Viking's onboard chefs prepare superb breakfasts, impressive lunches and elegant dinners daily. Whilst dining on board a Viking cruise is 'casual' and offers an open-seating arrangement, the ambience is always elegant and that you would expect in a high-end hotel
On a Viking River Cruise start the day with a lavish breakfast buffet in the dining room. Or perhaps grab a pastry and a latte and head off the Sun Deck to watch the river come to life.
Lunch presents yet more choice with a selection of inspiring dishes. When evening falls, the artistry in the kitchen transforms into a masterpiece of a five-course dinner, with a menu that incorporates traditional influences as well as contemporary cuisine.
With an array of lighter choices or vegetarian dishes, the Viking chefs work with nutritionists to provide a selection of balanced options. And, because some days you feel like a simple supper, a perfectly grilled steak or chicken breast or grilled salmon and Caesar salad is always an option.
This could take up to 30 seconds.
