And Now For Something A Little Different

And now for something a little different……………

I have been sat here pondering what to write about hurricane Irma and the new threat of hurricane Jose, that you haven’t already heard or seen on the television or radio etc. It is the top stories on the news, and rightly so.

I am shocked and upset with the devastation and loss of life in this beautiful part of the world  and my prayers and thoughts are with everyone who is out there, whether they live or work there or are there on holiday. I have some customers who set sail from Miami last week, the cruise line are constantly monitoring the course of the hurricane and have revised the itinerary to avoid the worst of it, so we can all be assured that they are being looked after.

But apart from that I can’t offer more information than you will find on the TV.

So really I just wanted to take your minds from this awful situation and share a few, what I think,  are a few ” funny ” anecdotes that we have heard about cruises, passengers etc

Did you know that one couple thought that The Captain of their ship was very rude as he did not wait for them when they were 2 hours late, even though in their cabin they had advised him that they had a lot to do – the very cheek of it!

Alaska – stunning scenery – but do you go there to get that perfect all over tan? Well one cruiser did and he demanded compensation from the cruise line as he had to buy warmer clothes and did not get that tan he wanted – really?

Muster drill – what can you complain about here? Well one cruiser was very upset that the orange life vest did not match the rest of her outfit – outrageous, surely the cruise lines should make sure that they come in different styles and colours?

There are hundreds to choose from – so I hope that reading these may of made you smile in what is turning out to be a rotten week.
