A Sexy Silhouette On The Horizon?

So your driving around the murky, damp, foggy docks of Southampton,  when suddenly you see in front of you, the sexy silhouette of a 122,000 tonne lady looming over you…….

No I’m not talking about a heavy set woman, I’m talking about the stunning Celebrity Silhouette!

It’s been announced that this amazing, ultra modern, ultra luxury ship will be sailing from Southampton in 2018, replacing the much loved Celebrity Eclipse.

For me it’s come as a massive surprise knowing the popularity of the Eclipse in the UK, so it’ll be really interested to see how the Silhouette fares in comparison.

Of course, being part of the same class of ship, there are a huge amount of similarities between the two ships. They are in fact, not far short of carbon copies of one another, a bit of different decor here and there, but fundamentally the same, which has proved hugely successful for Celebrity with their Southampton program for the last 3 years.

There isn’t much not to like about this class of ship, I’ve sailed on Solstice and Reflection in recent years, the Solstice being my first experience of Celebrity, that was back in Miami circa 2007-2008, and it blew my socks off then. Years later I flew out to Amsterdam to take a look at Reflection, and again I was amazed.

I genuinely think Celebrity have conceived the best design with this class, it oozes quality and smacks of luxury.

But the most amazing thing about Celebrity at the moment is their pricing.

With On Board Credit and Drinks packages attached to a plethora of their offers, they are not only one of the most luxury large liners you can sail with, but also about the best value for money too, which is important in today’s cruise market.

So I can only predict good things for Silhouette when she sails into Southampton and I’m sure fans of Celebrity in this country cannot wait to board her!
