House Guests, Madrid and the Celebrity Eclipse – it’s all go for the next two months.

So we are into April already, it is mad to think it just felt like Christmas a few weeks ago! But no, as we get older for some reason time now just seems to fly. After a few busy months with work, the next couple of months are now going to include some play.

Starting with this weekend, I have two of my closest friends, Claire and her partner Sunday are coming for a long weekend visit and the timing is perfect. The sun is shining and the temperatures here in Southern Spain are already peaking to 25 degrees centigrade already, I can certainly continue to live with that!

So this weekend will consist of catching up, dining out, catching some much needed sun for my white legs and more than likely a few vinos.  No doubt like last time, there will be much laughter and new memories to make.

I’ll have 2 weeks to catch my breath and then I am heading off to Madrid for a weekend with some friends.

Initially Madrid was being booked for the boys to go and watch Madrid v Barcelona but it happens to coincide with my birthday, so we thought we would make the most of it. So whilst the boys go football, the girls will be shopping, eating and of course drinking to help me celebrate my 24th Birthday (I have decided that I shall reverse my age from now on to make myself younger). I’m heading up to Madrid with not just my friends but they are also my colleagues Gina and Jess, with their husbands, Gina’s grand daughter and another friend who didn’t want to miss out on the action. I love Madrid and this will be my 3rd time in the city, the credit card will most likely get maxed!

Looking forward to a weekend with these girls. Gina & Jess.

Then another two weeks to let the liver and the bank balance recover and my colleagues Alison and Jane will be popping over for a weekend to catch up and enjoy the sun for the first weekend in May. I cannot wait to see my fellow caped crusaders, the girls and I had a fabulous trip when we went to Lake Garda & Venice back in October last year.  We last all saw each other at our Christmas Conference and made suggestions that they should come over, it wasn’t until way into the new year that they finally pinned a date that works for them and myself for a weekend of of good girly gossip, fun and again drinking.. and I am not really that much of a drinker, no honestly I am not!

I’ll again have another 10 days or so and then I will be heading over to Blighty for a few days with friends in London and then onto the treat I have most been waiting for, 2 nights in a Sky Suite on the Celebrity Eclipse.

I have not yet sailed on this beauty but was fortunate to spend a day on board a few years ago in Malaga. It was love at first sight with this ship, so I am excited to actually get to spend some real time on board and enjoy the ship to it’s fullest. We are only sailing to Le Harve and back, but I have no intention of actually getting off of the ship. I want to experience everything from the Lawn Club to the Persian Gardens. I am just undecided which specialty restaurants to try. I know for sure Qsine is top of my list but haven’t decided for the second night, so any suggestions would be great.

I shall update you with photos of my forthcoming trips and a Blog will certainly be on it’s way after my trip on the Eclipse.

So for now, hasta luego and see you in two weeks…

Dawn x

About Me

I have worked in the travel industry from the age of 15 stacking brochures and making tea at a local Thomas Cook shop, I absolutely loved it and this was the start of my fascination with travel. I went full time into travel at the age of 17 in June…
