Black Friday – the US craze has gone global…

Black Friday is a traditionally the day after the US holiday of Thanksgiving which is always the fourth Thursday of November. Since 1932 in the USA it has been regarded as the first day of the Christmas shopping season and retailers hold massive discounts for the first day of the sales.

With internet shopping so widely available, more shopping is done online for the deals once they are on sale, so people can shop at their convenience. Unlike back in the day when shoppers used to queue for days before the sales started so they was first in line for the best deals. Although, some people do still do this, especially if the store limits the amount that is sold on line. With the desperation of some, this can bring out a very aggressive side of shoppers trying to get that deal of the day.. and with discounts sometimes up to 75% off it’s no wonder that theses sales are so popular.

Over the years other countries including the UK have decided to adopt this method of sales, but rather than start on the fourth Friday of the month, many start the 3rd Friday of November – to me this defeats the traditional feeling of the Black Friday sale.

Cruise lines are no exception and the majority of cruise lines have now introduced their own Black Friday offers.

This year is no different, with cruise lines such as Princess, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity offering deals from this coming Friday 25th November 2016.

Princess Cruises (from past experience) have always offered some of the best deals, with really low cruise fares, this is the opportunity to book before Christmas. With a 7 night cruise starting from £469 per person, you don’t have to worry about camping overnight to get your deal, I will be here waiting for your call.

Be it heavily reduced prices or additional extras, this weekend is bound to be busy. So make sure you do not miss out. Keep an eye on your mobile and emails and check out our websites for the very latest and best deals as they become available.
