It's common knowledge that 21st Century cruisers have difficulty leaving their online connection to the world behind - albeit to keep in touch with work, friends and family - even at sea. So if this applies to you, here's all the information you'll ever need to find out which cruise lines offer wireless (WiFi) connections on board and, more importantly, how much it costs.

Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest are both fully wireless, including staterooms. Internet access is available in eConnections.

Every ship provides satellite Internet access facilitated through the Internet Café and through the ship-wide WiFi network. An activation fee of $3.95 will be charged when you first log on.

All ships, except MS Nordstjernen and MS Lofoten, offer internet access via satellite. There are hubspots, which have WiFi but the coverage varies from ship to ship. There is an internet cafe on board all ships except MS Lofoten and MS Nordstjernen. Be aware that the bandwidth is low. Wireless networks in most public areas to connect laptops, mobile phones etc will be implemented on all ships during 2011.
