2017 what have you in store for me?

Well today is my first day back after a lovely long Christmas break.  Wow what a day, feels like I have already worked a full week… January is always a peak booking period here at cruise.co.uk so it’s nice to be given the chance in December to recharge your batteries and take a bit of time out.  I think I have heard this saying every couple of minutes in the office today, but really where has this year gone?

I must say 2016 has been a good year for me, my biggest achievement has to be that I celebrated 20 years with the company, I also completed in one of the toughest challenges my body has incurred and that was the 20 mile, 200 obstacle course called the Rat Race. My daughter and I each year do the Race for Life which I love being able to do with my daughter.   I also had an amazing family holiday in the summer and lots of short breaks with family and friends.

So, what does 2017 hold for me?  Well the most important for me is that I celebrate 20 years of marriage in August, I know I’ve said it before but where has those years gone? I don’t feel old enough to be married for 20 years.  My husband and I like to party and have a good time with our friends so we knew that this celebration was not to be missed so we are just in the throws of sorting out a party.

Thought I would give you all a laugh…

For those that know me or follow my blog you also know I like to set myself a challenge each year so without exception I have booked to participate in the London Moonwalk and I think I have also been talked into the Birmingham Marathon!!

The moonwalk is on the 13th May and is held in London and takes the same route as the Marathon so 26.2 miles. You start the walk at midnight and walk through the evening dressed in your decorated bra and of course other garments, and is in aid of Breast cancer.  So I am busy training for this and hopefully can complete in a reasonable time.  I love challenging myself and feel such a sense of achievement, it’s worth the early morning boot camp and running sessions at 6.00 each morning through the cold frosty mornings.

So that’s a little about me, I would like to take this opportunity of wishing all my customers and friends a very happy 2017!!

Looking forward to booking lots of cruises for you all!!
