Would you expect a refund anywhere else ??

I have been overloaded with calls from customers wanting to check the prices on bookings they have already made, and while i want to get the best deal whenever I can, sometimes the prices do drop, there i have said it, and its in black and white.

But not always !!!!

I have recently had a situation with P&O where the price has gone up ! Out of Southampton, so cannot be blaming flights, one day its £ 1950 pp and the next day over £ 2139 pp , so not just a few pennies either. They give no reason for this , or excuses , that’s the price, and they will not budge. Will the price come down again I am asked, I do not know is the simple answer, and for me to advise you either way is impossible.

This got me to chatting to a customer who is very upset the cruise she is going on has reduced in price.

Okay it has, but is now has a lot more restrictions than she would like, so i asked her straight out if you bought a pair of shoes at M&S and two months later saw them in a sale, would you go back in and demand the difference back ???? Of course you would not, you would, like me, kick yourself and wonder why you were so impulsive when you bought them. Then I ask you to look closer , did they have a size 6, the answer would probably be no as this is one of the most popular sizes, colour ? we could go on.

Holidays are the same, there will always be bargains to be had in any situation in life but you have to compromise, maybe you won’t get those lovely
Birmingham local day time flights you wanted, you have to go to Stanstead, in the middle of the night. You wont know where you cabin is or what sitting you will get, there may only be inside cabins left ?

If you are happy to compromise, you are lock up and go, then wait, if you get that bargain great, if not next time book in advance !!

It really does come down to the age old saying you get what you pay for.
