No Fly, No Passport cruise ?

It is with interest I have recently found out (much to my surprise) that Fred Olsen will let you travel without a passport !! For one customer in his 80’s this was great news, as he no longer wants to fly and does not want to spend a fortune on a passport he may only use once or twice. He would just like a little holiday and loves to cruise.

This particular Itinerary is 23/8/2015 and visits the British Isle with a stop in Dublin, this was the port I was worried about and so got it checked out, and have been advised that any of the following will do.

Valid bus pass
ID Card (obtainable for about £15)
Firearm Licence
Drivers Licence

The only requirement is that they are valid and IN DATE

As the cruise is leaving from Dover, no flying either , bonus for my passenger.

Sun 23 Aug Dover Late PM
Mon 24 Aug Cruising
Tue 25 Aug Leith (Edinburgh),Scotland Late AM
Wed 26 Aug Leith (Edinburgh), Scotland Late PM
Thu 27 Aug Kirkwall, Orkney Islands Early PM
Thu 27 Aug Kirkwall,Orkney Islands Late PM
Fri 28 Aug Cruising
Sat 29 Aug Greenock (Glasgow), Scotland Early AM Late Night
Sun 30 Aug Dublin,Ireland Early PM
Mon 31 Aug Dublin,Ireland Late PM
Tue 1 Sep Cruising
Wed 2 Sep Dover Early AM

As this is going fairly soon, the Anchor fares are available, so from £ 69 pp per night you can be on a cruise , even without a passport !!
