Liverpool Fun

So off we went to Liverpool, quite an easy process from Coventry , one quick change @ Birminghan New Street and we were on our way. We booked a Hotel at the last minute and some of the reviews were not nice, they were so wrong. The Lord Nelson was literally 200 Yards from Lime Street station , the staff were friendly and we even got a late night Baileys at the bar on our return. There will be a review going on , we very often forget to do this when everything has been good, most people are straight on when there is an issue.

Why Liverpool ? not a cruise this time , Mrs Browns Boys , at the Echo Arena, really easy to find and everything is well signposted.

The show was so funny , and a little “bluer” than the TV version , having grown up in an Irish Catholic family I really thought it was funny and could relate so much to it. This was a lovely birthday treat from our son, he knows me too well !!

Before the show we even went on the Liverpool Eye , who needs London !

The next morning we walked back into town , I am now the proud owner of a new 5s iphone (hence the nice pictures!) had a walk around the city centre and of course had to find The Cavern , sadly we did not go inside we will save that for the next trip

We had a nice journey home and finished our mini break away with an early Supper, back to work the next day, all in all we liked Liverpool, I would go back again and would like to see more of the nightlife, ours was midweek break, so be warned not many places open after the show.

Here is hubby getting my Baileys, very well trained (hope he never reads my blog…lol)
