My Azamazing time on the Azamara Journey

Just returned from a little 3 night mini cruise on the Azamara Journey and I was very impressed. A beautiful ship inside and out.  I knew it was 5 star and I expected it to be mainly Americans on board and it was.

Having previously experienced some fine dining on board a P&O ship I did wonder if the speciality restaurants would be quite as good. They were awesome and delicious food.

I was actually quite surprised how many people on board had actually booked to eat in the speciality restaurants. Normally us Brits we like to dress up and maybe make a bit more of an effort that the Americans so I had my doubts to weather the fine dining would be good food accompanied by oversized shirts and baseball caps but to be pleasantly surprised it wasn’t and all who attended made a decent effort.

I like food, more so than a drink and this was going to be an important part of my holiday and experience of Azamara cruises. I loved all the food.

The dishes were just lush and I just wanted to eat everything. I find it quite amazing how they decorate the plates and provide such small course and several of them and by the time desert comes round your full. I have to say the standard of food was probably the best yet. Marco Pierre White on the Ventura was impressive but so was all of this.

These are a few of the dishes we had on board. What is the best restaurant you have experienced on board? Have you tried the speciality restaurants on Azamara Cruises?
