Clive palmer replica Titanic and Benefit Street

Australian Billionaire Clive Palmer wants to build a replica of the famous Titanic. Down to every last detail, the grand staircase, 1st class cabins and suites and also 3rd class cabins. He wants the ship to be exactly the same as the original ill-fated Titanic.

The criticism he has come across is that no one will want to book and pay for the 3rd class cabins. Now days we all want the best for our money. If we’re on a budget we go down a category or we simply start from the bottom and see what we can afford.

I can’t see how anyone would purposely book a 3rd class cabin. He obviously wants the same mixture of clientele that the original ship had for passengers.

This said, has given me an idea. If he wants to build this and wants to attract that mixture of passengers on board then why not perhaps offer a Free Cruise to those on Benefit Street. Surely they would jump at the chance of anything free and they would fill the 3rd class cabins and the working class and the wealthier would book the higher cabin grades.

This would surely give Mr Palmer the mixture he’s seeking. I wouldn’t and I’m sure I’m not alone here, would want to book and actually pay for what is a 3rd class cabin. So Benefit Street could be the answer. The working class and wealthy would have their cabins of their choice and those on the freebie would take the 3rd class cabins. With then all cabins booked and 3rd class filled this would fulfil Mr Palmer’s request to have all cabins occupied, and certainly with a different mixture of people.

So come on Mr Palmer, build this replica and open it to the public and you want the 3rd class cabins filled, offer them free to those on Benefit Street. What do you think?
