Stacey’s Port Guides – Barcelona
I have been to Barcelona many times and it is one of my favourite places! It is such a quick flight and I love the fact that it is a city with a beach attached, the best of both worlds. If you wanted to visit Barcelona, I would recommend a three night stay before a seven night cruise. Most cruise lines depart from Barcelona as it is one of the busiest cruise ports in Europe. You can do it in a day but I would try to stay for longer. If you do a cruise with a stop in Barcelona then here are my top three excursions –
Go Car Barcelona Olympic Tour – from £77 per person
With what seems the smartest tour guide possible, a Go Car Tour is the tour that packs a unique punch. Using hi-tech GPS Satellite Navigation, take a private tour of Barcelona in this duel seat, open top vehicle. Not only is this tour one the most exhilarating, it is also surely the most educated vehicle in Barcelona! Take a simple drive, while your car tells you where to go and explains to you the history behind the sights, bringing the history of Barcelona to life.
Barcelona On Your Own – from £16 per person
A return shuttle to Barcelona centre, taking you to the dropoff point at Plaza Catalunya at the top of the famous Las Ramblas allowing you free time to enjoy this beautiful Spanish city on your own.
Private Barcelona Highlights Including Nou Camp – from £175 per person
You will be met at the port of Barcelona by a Cruising Excursions representative who will then guide you to your air conditioned transport. The tour will commence with a drive to one of the most famous buildings in Barcelona – the Sagrada Familia, the drive will take us through Passeig de Gracia and also past the mot talked about Gaudi buildings – La Pedrera and Casa Batllo (a modernist museum designed by Gaudi). The tour will stop a street away from the Sagrada Familia, here we will disembark the coach and walk to this famous building, for those who are entering we will be spending approximately 45 minutes here before continuing with the tour to the Gothic quarter, and then to Las Ramblas. Las Ramblas is made famous for the many Tapas bars and souvenir shops, your last stop will be Camp Nou before going back to the cruise port.
