The best possibility to discover Tallinn: you get close to all sights and you can enjoy fresh air with little activity during the tour. Bike tour will take you to the romantic Old Town, where you can enjoy cycling next to the ancient walls from 13th century and feel the atmosphere of the medieval city.

Last week of the summer…

I can’t believe that tomorrow is the 22nd of August, the last week of Summer.  This Summer has been Millie’s first school holidays and she was definitely ready for it.  She did so well in Primary 1 but it is a long time for her to be studying that she enjoyed having a break.  Time is so precious with her as I work full time so I wanted to make sure we had some amazing times together.  It has absolutely flown past but we have had a great time.  Our last trip was a couple of days in Glasgow.

A bite of the Big Apple

Today marks just 33 weeks and 3 days until I will be in the amazing city of New York again.  I was last there two years ago to celebrate my 30th.  I travelled with my Mum and Brother, we had a great few days.  This time I am going with friends for St Patricks Day so it will be a different kind of holiday.  We do a lot of packages to New York with cruises and I love talking to you all about activities and restaurants.  I have chosen five that I would like to visit next time so I thought I would let you into what I have chosen.  I just hope I can fit them all in.

Keeping Millie occupied!

This last week has been very busy for Millie and I.  It has been her first week of the summer holidays (very early here in Scotland) and we have enjoyed some lovely quality time with her.  I say lovely just now but ask me again in six weeks!  I had a couple of days off through the week with my friend when we went to Manchester to see James Bay (again).  It was lovely to get away, the gig was amazing and I love Manchester.  This weekend we have enjoyed all of the tennis, especially the Gordon Reid and Andy Murray games.  I missed the Reid game as I was working but managed to get all of the Murray game, which was fantastic.

Holland America Koningsdam – Staterooms

Hello all,

A few days ago I spent the weekend in the beautiful city of Amsterdam.  Holland America had invited me across to see their brand new ship Koningsdam.  In fact, she is a whole new class of ship being the first in their Pinnacle class of the fleet.  I do a lot of business with Holland America particularly in Alaska and the Far East so I was very excited to be able to see the ship.  Nothing helps in our job more than first hand experience.  I had always compared them to Celebrity and Princess and I wasn’t disappointed.  My favourite mid-range ships up until now would have been the Solstice Class Celebrity ships.  I would go as far to say that this ship was stunning and so much better!  As I have so much information and pictures of the ship, I thought I would divide my blog into segments.  This week, I am looking at the cabins –

Stacey’s Port Guides – Palma

This week I have chosen to look at the beautiful European port of Palma. Palma De Mallorca is the capital city of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands in Spain. It is situated on the South coast of the island on the Bay of Palma. An interesting fact is that almost half of the population of the entire island of Majorca live in Palma! I have been to Palma many times, on beach holidays and also as part of cruise holidays. I love the port and it’s so easy to get from to other places on the island. Here are my top three recommended excursions –

Relaxed after a break!

Hola!

Sorry I am still stuck in Majorca.  Well, I wish I was.  I have been back a few days now from a lovely break with one of my best friends Nicola.  We travelled to Magaluf for a four night break last week.  Now I am sure that everyone thinks one thing when they think of Magaluf, that it is a big party resort full of young drunk people.  Now it isn’t entirely all true.  The main strip is very busy at nights but avoid that and it is a lovely resort.  Having said that, I wouldn’t go in the peak of summer, but May is perfect for us.

Fun times with my mini me

I decided to make things a little more personal this week and not cruise related.  Now that Millie is at school I feel like I hardly see her so I have planned lots of fun things for us to do throughout the year.  The summer holidays are coming up soon and we have things on every week, I can’t wait.

South America Is The Hot Destination – Part Five

Today was our last day in amazing Rio.  Myself and Suzanne decided to get up to see the sunrise.  We were told that this was at 5am so headed across the road to the beach at 4.30.  Now we had went to bed at around 11pm the night before and there was a DJ and people dancing.  When we went to the beach in the morning the people were still out dancing.  We sat at a beach bar shack and ordered coconut water.  There was a mixture of people walking about and lots of families turning up with cool bags, obviously getting their space on the beach for the day.  Not once did I feel unsafe.  Unfortunately it was a very cloudy last day so we couldn’t get any good pictures of the sunrise, I did manage to get some beautiful ones the previous day.  We headed back to the hotel at around 6am and had some breakfast before returning to our rooms to get ready.

South America Is The Hot Destination – Part Three

Our last morning in Iguassu was a nice relaxing one. Our flight didn’t leave until the afternoon so we didn’t have to leave at the crack of dawn! We had a champagne breakfast as it was one of the girls’ birthday. We had all clubbed in to get her a present and card so it was lovely to have the champs to go along with it. The breakfast was a nice continental style with pastries and lots of lovely fresh fruit. After breakfast we decided to sit by the pool and get some sunshine. The weather was lovely and warm but not too hot. We all sat out for an hour and had a coffee in the sun. We even dipped our feet in the pool for a bit. The pool was quiet so it was nice and relaxing. Check out was quick and easy, then we were off to the airport. Check in at Iguassu was so quick as this was just an internal flight to Rio. We all sat together again which was good and had a drink & snack.
