New York New York – Hotel

Seeing as I have now been back from my New York holiday for a couple of weeks I thought I better tell you all about it.  I am going to divide it into sections starting with the hotel first, then I will look at flights, tours, restaurants and shopping.

We stayed at the Gallivant Times Square which is rated as a 4*.  The hotel is on West 48th Street between 7th and 8th Avenue.  If you know New York at all you will know this is a perfect location to be!  If you haven’t been before then I will take you somewhere you may recognise.  Picture leaving our hotel and turning right, right again, cross a road then there you are on Times Square – by the famous red steps.

We booked two rooms – one presidential suite and one deluxe room.  The rooms were both great.  We spent most of the time in our suite as it was huge!  You walked into a large living room with enough seating for 8 people.  To the back of the living room there was a large balcony.  This would have been great in better weather but it has just snowed heavily so we couldn’t really get out there.  Off the living room was a large double bedroom then a smaller double bedroom through another door.  There was a spacious shower room and toilet.  In the main bedroom there was another door taking you out to a second balcony which wrapped around the whole suite!  It really was an experience, the best room in the hotel!

A lot of our packages have a couple of days in New York before a cruise so I would happily recommend this to all of my clients.  Here are some pictures so you can get an idea of the suite.
