ARE P&O FINALLY GOING TO GO DOWN THE ALL-INCLUSIVE ROUTE!!!

It has just been announced that P&O Cruises will be trialling an All-Inclusive drinks package on one of their ships from next week. The trial will be happening on P&O Azura only  from the 21st July 2018 for only a one month period and if this trial proves to be successful I understand that this is something that will be implement across the rest of the fleet for 2019.

Well is it for you? Well here is a few more details about the drinks package itself and what is included….

The cost of the drinks Package will be £39.95 per person per day for adults, with children travelling upto the age of 16 will receice a childrens package at no extra cost. The package includes beers, single measures of sprits, cocktails and wines by the glass of up to £6.95 on the menus. Unlimited soft drinks on draft, primo Costa Coffees, teapigs teas, hot chocolate and bottled water (500ml only). There is also a 20% discount on the following – drinks above £6.95, bottles of wine, large bottles of water, canned and bottled soft drinks, jucies and smoothies.

Sound good? Well here are some restrictions about the drinks package on trial….

So what are you thoughts now? Is it as attractive now as you thought it was going to be?

P&O have always up to now not gone down the all-inclusive drinks route as their drinks on-board in my opinion have always been at a fair and reasonable price. With a pint of beer starting off from about £4, a glass of wine from £4.50 and a Spirit and mixer from £4.60 and a top of that NO 18% service charge compared to a lot of other cruise lines, is the £39.95 per person per day good value for money.

I have a lot of customerts that go with P&O regularly as they don’t go down that all-inclusive route and portray themselves as a booze cruise. Customers are happy that the prices are similar to pub prices and can choose when and what they drink rather than feeling they have to have there fill to make sure they compensate for the near £40 they paying daily. Myself and my wife like to have a drink or three and when on a cruise we don’t worry and look at the bill at the end rather than budget what we are spending, after all we are on holiday. The last P&O cruise we did was on Ventura around the Caribbean for 14 nights and couple of year ago and I got to say we drank a fair bit. However, I got to say over the 14 night our bill didn’t come to £1120 which is what we would have to a shell out if you go for the drinks package.

What are you thoughts? Do you hope P&O go down the all-inclusive route?
